Caitlin Clark And The Indiana Fevers Winning Streak Ends

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever's Winning Streak Ends

A Look at What Went Wrong

An Untimely Injury

The Indiana Fever's impressive winning streak came to an abrupt end on Tuesday night, as they fell to the Las Vegas Aces 93-81. The loss snapped a seven-game winning streak for the Fever, who are now 20-11 on the season.

One of the biggest factors in the Fever's loss was the absence of star guard Caitlin Clark. Clark, who is averaging 20.3 points per game this season, was sidelined with a left ankle injury. Without Clark, the Fever's offense struggled to find its rhythm. They shot just 40.2% from the field and 25.0% from three-point range.

Defensive Lapses

In addition to their offensive struggles, the Fever also had some defensive lapses that allowed the Aces to take control of the game. The Aces shot 50.0% from the field and 47.1% from three-point range. They also outrebounded the Fever 46-32.

The Aces were led by A'ja Wilson, who had 27 points and 13 rebounds. Liz Cambage also had a big game for the Aces, finishing with 23 points and 10 rebounds.

Looking Ahead

The Fever will look to bounce back from their loss when they host the Dallas Wings on Thursday night. The Wings are currently 17-14 on the season and are coming off a 105-98 loss to the New York Liberty.

The Fever will need to play much better than they did against the Aces if they want to avoid a two-game losing streak. They will need to get more production from their offense and play better defense. If they can do those things, they should be able to get back on track and continue their push for a playoff spot.
